Best bookinist store in seattle4/13/2023 Nooks are a must in bookstores, but Madison’s full array of new titles sit in a space small enough to be a nook itself. The owners are intimately involved in every step of production and make a profound effort to ensure you’re putting your hard earned dollars toward something that will endure the miles. One of Seattle’s newest bookstores (a sibling to Phinney Books) sits on a quaint, tree-lined street right by Madison Park Beach. At Sonic Boom you’ll find a big catalogueboth deep and rangingalong with excellent in-store concerts (when such things are allowed). Look to Eames NW for local menswear expertise. Luckily, it’s one of the best in the city. Recognized by Gear Patrol as one of the nation’s best menswear stores, Adrian Eames’s slick menswear boutique treads the line between the latest fashions and timeless, true-to-form Seattle function. Freeman Capitol HillĪround the corner from the oh-so-popular Joe Bar on Capitol Hill is a cool and particularly cozy shop featuring locally made classic menswear such as rain jackets, denim, flannels, and Seattle pennants. Since the longtime Bop Street Records closed, Ballard’s main drags have only one record store. Standard Goods focuses on contemporary American-made apparel for men and women in any season. Here you’ll find annual festivals such as Paradiso, Watershed, Above and Beyond Group Therapy, and more. Stock up on layer-ready basics that won’t fall apart on you like certain fast-fashion chains in town. One of the world’s most gorge (ous) music festivals is located 1.5-2 hours away from Seattle The Gorge. They usually have a bunch of cider options in bottles from the likes of Finnriver, Alpenfire, and Sea Cider, along with one or two on tap. Capitol Hill is near downtown, so can be walked to from the tourist center of. It’s an artsy destination great for eats, overflowing bars (both straight and queer friendly), and some serious thrifting opportunities. Capitol Hill is an indie music-listening, American Apparel-wearing hipster mecca. With locations in Ballard and Capitol Hill, this urban oasis is packed with on-trend clothing, accessories, and U.S.-made gifts. The first time I tried Sea Cider, which is a must-stop on any cider-lovers Vancouver Island itinerary, was here. Seattle Shopping Destination 3: Capitol Hill. Find a large offering of stylish clothes, home goods, and plants, plus an on-site gallery of local artists and a variety of workshops. This Melrose Market men’s and women’s boutique looks like the apartment of your coolest friend, the one with tendrily plants, an expertly stocked wet bar, charcoal soap in the bathroom, and a dresser full of lived-in denim.
